FA Q's
You’ve Got Questions - We’ve Got Answers
When should I order my dress?
The timing for ordering your gown is crucial. You want to ensure that there is enough time for the gown to arrive, but you also need to have enough time for alterations.

For bridal, we recommend anywhere from 8 - 12 months before the event.
For all other gowns (bridesmaids, mothers, flower girl, etc.), we recommend approx. 6 months before.
When should I have my dress altered, and what do I bring?
Alterations are an important step in completing your look for your big day.

For bridal, we suggest 1.5-2 months before the event.
For all other gowns, we suggest 1 month.

For the appointment itself, you will want to make sure you have your shoes and any undergarments you are planning on wearing with the gown. Having your shoes is exceptionally important when determining the hem of your gown.

*Unfortunately, we are not currently offering alterations in house at this time.

However, we will not price match with any online retailers.

You bet! All of our gowns are available to purchase off the rack, and some are available at huge discounts!
What if something is wrong with my gown?
At The Bridal Event we work exceptionally hard to ensure that all gowns are correct to each unique order.

However, there are rare cases that appear time to time. We encourage you to come in to try on your gown as soon as it arrives to ensure that everything looks and fits as it should. If something is incorrect, or just not quite right, we need to know as soon as possible so that we can make every effort to correct the issue.

We want to do everything we can to help you achieve the best look of your wedding dreams!
Can I customize my gown?
There are lots of options when it comes to making your gown your own!
Some designers let us make custom changes while the dress is in production.
What is your return policy?
All of our gowns are custom ordered with your measurements. Once you sign and place a deposit on a gown, it is a contract of a final sale with no returns.
Jewelry and shoes are generally considered final sale items as well.
When should I order my veil/headpiece?
We have a wide selection of veils and headpieces available for ordering. We typically recommend ordering 3 months before the wedding at the latest, and you can order as early as the day you say yes to your dress!
Do you have any clearance or sale items?
Absolutely! Every so often designers will discontinue specific gowns from their line. We then add these gowns to our "Last Looks" stock, which we sell off the rack at severely discounted prices!
Can you color match my bridesmaids with my groomsmen?
You bet we can! The Formal Event is located right below the main level of The Bridal Event, and we are more than happy to directly color match the gowns for you. Click over to The Formal Event page for more information!
What if you don't have the dress I want in store?
This is an excellent question. We select certain gowns from every designer to have as a sample in our store. However, if there is a gown that you know you love but we do not have it on our floor, we can still order that gown as long as we carry the same designer!

Keep in mind that we do not order gowns as samples to try on; we only order outside gowns for official purchases.
How do I preserve my gown?
We offer the unique service of packaging your gown and sending it to the Wedding Gown Preservation Co. This company will spot clean, treat, and preserve your gown in a beautiful box for years to come.

All you have to do is bring your gown back to us after your wedding, and we will box it up and send it out for you! Within 2-10 weeks your preserved gown will be delivered to your doorstep!

You also have the option of placing 3 additional items in with your gown such as your garter, veil, or headpiece.

And if you bought your gown with us, you can expect a $25 gift certificate towards the overall price for the preservation!
Where can I store my gown?
When you purchase with The Bridal Event we are more than happy to store your gowns in our fire-proof vaults all the way up until your wedding day - free of charge.
